Town gets art attack
A Major new festival, Art in Woodstock, kicks off on Tuesday.
Showcasing work by visiting professional artists and local talent, the
new innovation from Wake up to Woodstock will see the whole town
transformed into a celebration of the visual arts.
Individual art shows will be held in shops and restaurants, Woodstock Art Galleries will host exhibitions and a triangular art wall will be erected in the town square for visitors to contribute to during the six day festival.
There will also be art and photographic competitions, with winners' work exhibited at Woodstock Town Hall, with the Open Art Competition - Inspired by Woodstock - judged by Martin Kemp, Professor of Art History at Oxford University.
